AIC Foundation: Initiatives

The AIC Foundation / IUNS Travel Award for the Nutritional Sciences

Through the generous contribution of funds from the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS), the Agricultural Institute of Canada Foundation (AICF) provided travel grants to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows from Canadian academic institutions with a recognized agricultural college, in order that they participate in scientific conferences, within the purview of the IUNS, to present their research.

No further funding is available for grants effective April 15, 2011 and no new applications will be accepted.

The Mission of the IUNS is:

• To promote advancement in nutrition science, research and development through international cooperation at the global level;
• To encourage communication and collaboration among nutrition scientists as well as to disseminate information in nutritional sciences through modern communication technology.

IUNS Travel Awards for the Nutritional Sciences were awarded to the following successful applicants in 2011. Each award recipient submitted a written report on the conference they attended, detailing the value that they and their institution received as a result of their participation.
