The Agricultural Institute of Canada, in collaboration with l'Ordre des agronomes du Québec, and other partners, is hosting the national Forum:
Identifying Strategies to Support Sustainable Agriculture in Canada to address the issues and explore approaches to achieving measurable advances towards the goals for sustainability.
L'Institut agricole du Canada, en collaboration avec l'Ordre des agronomes du Québec, et d'autres partenaires, sont l'hôte d'un forum national sous le thème : À la recherche de stratégies de soutien à l'agriculture
durable au Canada. Cet forum sera l'occasion d'échanger sur les enjeux de l'agriculture durable et sur les approaches susceptibles de favoriser sa mise en oeuvre.

Food Safety Policy and Regulations and Their Impact on Marketing and Trade
AIC held their Semi-Annual Members Meeting this spring in Victoria to bring together members for professional devlelopment and to provide input on issues facing the agri-food sector.
The Food Safety Policy and Regulations and Their Impact on Marketing and Trade Symposium kicked off the meeting on Friday April 8, 2005 at the Hotel Grand Pacific in Victoria British Columbia.

2003 Conference: From the Farm Gate to the Dinner Plate
The Agricultural Institute of Canada Foundation (AICF) supports and promotes the science of agriculture and the important role that it plays in providing Canadians with a safe, affordable and nutritious food supply.
The AICF undertakes research and communications initiatives to
disseminate information related to advances in agricultural products and practices.
AIC Foundation in cooperation with partners in the agriculture and food sector are hosted their National conference. The 2003 theme, "From the Farm Gate to the Dinner Plate" brought together experts in the field of food safety to provide a forum for presentations and workshops to address critical food safety issues and disseminate factual, scientific information about advances in agricultural technologies and products.

2002 Conference:
In order to provide a forum for the presentation of the latest scientific research, technological advancements, best agricultural practices, and policy and legislation related to the use of agricultural nutrients the AICF hosted a national conference "Agricultural Nutrients and Their Impact on Rural Water Quality." The conference brought together representatives of academia, agri-science, municipalities and other stakeholders in rural water quality, for the exchange of factual information and the promotion of meaningful discussion of the issues.
The conference attracted almost 300 participants and the proceedings have been compiled on a searchable CD-Rom compliling more than 300 pages of papers and submissions. The CD is available for purchase from the AIC Foundation at a cost of $45 plus applicable GST/HST. The table of contents [PDF - 1,623KB] pages are available for viewing.
