Webinar Series on the Future of Agri-Food Research and Innovation
We invite you to join us for the third webinar in a series of six dedicated to the future of agri-food research and innovation.
From Research to Adoption: Improving collaboration between scientists, industry and entrepreneurs to advance agri-food innovation
Canadian universities and scientists are renowned internationally for the quality of their research in agri-food. However, only a fraction of their research gets commercialized by Canadian companies every year.
As a result, we have some questions that need exploring:
What explains this situation? What could be done to stimulate the commercialization of scientific research and its subsequent adoption in the agri-food sector?
The third moderated panel discussion of this series is scheduled for Thursday, June 10th, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm EDT.
- Dr. Malcolm Campbell, Vice-President (Research) at University of Guelph
- Dr. Peter Phillips, Distinguished Professor, Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, Founding Director, Centre for Study of Science and Innovation Policy, Affiliates, Global Institute for Food Security, and University of Saskatchewan
- Martin Vetter, Senior Investment Manager at Carrot Ventures
Moderator: Serge Buy, Chief Executive Officer, Agri-Food Innovation Council
