The first symposium was held at Iwate University, Japan in December 2016, and this second symposium intends to continue the success by further discussing the recent innovative research in four internationally-recognized universities:

  • Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (China) and
  • University of Saskatchewan (Canada).

The conference includes 20 invited speakers from these universities and additional presentations through posters by graduate students, research staff and faculty. Graduate student posters and oral presentations will be judged for awards.

The symposium also provides a workshop on CRISPR Cas9 on September 8 and an optional day excursion tour to Prince Albert National Park on September 11.
