Election of Mazen Chouaib to the AIC Board of Directors
The Agri-Food Innovation Council (AIC) is pleased to announce the election of Mazen Chouaib to our Board of Directors.
Mazen is the President and CEO of Canadian Leaders in International Consulting Inc. (CLIC), where he is recognized for his entrepreneurial leadership and global project management expertise. He brings extensive experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives across agriculture, agribusiness, and supply and value chains, particularly throughout the Middle East and Africa.
As the founder of CLIC, Mazen has led impactful initiatives that strengthen food security, improve rural livelihoods, and support local economic development. Since 2007, he has successfully mobilized and managed millions of dollars in project funding from a wide range of international partners, including the Government of Canada, the United Nations, the World Bank, and several national governments.
Mazen also brings valuable governance and policy experience to the Council. He currently serves on the board of the Canadian Association of International Development Professionals (CAIDP), and has previously led national advocacy initiatives in Canada, working closely with government and parliamentary stakeholders. Having worked in more than 30 countries, he offers a truly global perspective. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
